itemprop=\"text\" ><p>In the past year, nine artists whose approaches stem from print and photography completed a collective research and creation residency at L\u2019imprimerie as part of <em>Le Chantier &#8211; research project on the printed and photographic image<\/em>. Utilizing the centre\u2019s facilities allowed them to develop their personal projects while taking part in group reflection and exploration.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from their work in the studio, these nine creators presented the result of their experiments to the public at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accesculture.com\/activite\/Chantier_de_recherche_sur_l_image_imprimee_et_photographique_\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">maison de la culture Maisonneuve<\/a> in October and November. In the context of <em>Le Chantier &#8211; research project on the printed and photographic image<\/em>, the artist identified plots of natural land in Montreal\u2019s southeast boroughs: Mercier Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, Longue-Pointe and Montr\u00e9al-Est. Armed with her trusty bike and film camera, she went out in search of what she considers untouchable, forgotten places: undecided spaces with no apparent function that, in the absence of any human activity, have become potential havens in which biodiversity can thrive.<\/p>\n<p>Using the artifacts she brought back to the studio and exhibition space, she was able to recreate a subjective map of the surveyed areas through her preferred medium: analogue photography. In these compositions, nature meets the human footprint as the artist worked with various techniques such as photoengraving, screen printing, goffering and Piezography. The resulting uncertain landscapes were assembled in a large format livre d\u2019artiste and presented as wide screen prints.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<style type=\"text\/css\"
