class=\"slogan medium\">L\u2019imprimerie, centre d&#8217;artistes is proud to announce the second ever winner of Montreal Emerging Photography Award, Janie Julien-Fort. A young Montreal artist, Janie immerses us in the materiality of the photographic medium as she questions its relationship with time. The quality of Janie\u2019s artistic work compelled the jury with its wide-ranging experimentalism and its openess to a renewal of photographic practices.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-av_one_half-15d750bd1b332b34c6e70b077ebbccdf\">\n.flex_column.av-av_one_half-15d750bd1b332b34c6e70b077ebbccdf{\nborder-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\npadding:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='flex_column av-av_one_half-15d750bd1b332b34c6e70b077ebbccdf av_one_half  avia-builder-el-7  el_after_av_textblock  el_before_av_one_half  first flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-av_textblock-2bd894dbf2e4bf2c4acf98ce4fbf94aa '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Initiated by le Cabinet, espace de production photographique in 2015, and taken on now by L\u2019imprimerie, the prize is presented in collaboration with Occurence espace d\u2019art et d\u2019essai contemporains, and Ciel Variable magazine. It is given in order to recognize, encourage, and accompany a local talent by offering meaningful assistance in the launching of a young artistic career. This year\u2019s winner will benefit from an 8-week residency at L\u2019imprimerie and the support of an artist-mentor there, as well as a production grant, a solo exhibit at Occurence, an artist\u2019s honorarium, and a one-year subscription to Ciel Variable.
