For professionals
L’imprimerie, center d’artistes offers a training program on printmaking and photographic practices, delivered by experienced professional artists. This program is funded by Emploi-Québec and is intended for professional artists and creators or those in the process of becoming professional. In addition, participants must have permanent residency or Canadian citizenship. Anyone who works as an artist, artisan or cultural worker can participate, regardless of their employment status: full-time, part-time, self-employed, temporary foreign workers, job seekers, etc. Employment insurance recipients, social assistance recipients or graduate students, foreign students with work permits and volunteer administrators are also eligible.The reduced rates include materials.

Interested in the artistic community of L’imprimerie? Our passionnate teachers propose a variety of courses and workshops to introduce you to the practices of printed and photographic art or perfect your skills! These courses are addressed to people from all backgrounds. Fees include materials.
All courses are taught in French, but the majority of teachers are bilingual.
Private lessons
We offer members personalized training allowing project-based support, learning new techniques or perfecting them in a more intimate setting.
Functioning
Offered techniques: Screen printing, intaglio, photoetching, linocut, bookbinding, typography, plate lithography, photopolymer plates, cyanotype and alternative photography, embossing, photopolymer plate, image processing on Photoshop, photographic filing on Lightroom, artistic project and statement writing.
Minimum duration of training: 3 hours for process improvement and variable duration depending on the process for introductory courses (e.g.: 5 hours for introduction to screen printing).
We also offer customized training to cultural organizations or educational institutions that wish to develop an expertise in a particular process.
Rates
Regular member:
$80/hour for one person;
$55/hour/per person for two people;
$40/hour/per person for a group of three or four people.
Organization member:
$140/hour for one person;
$75/hour/per person for two people;
$60/hour/per person for a group of three or four people.
Fees include materials.
In order to practice your new skills, we have concocted a promotion to support you in the development of your practice:
When you take a course, you are entitled to one month of studio access at the special rate of $90 (regular price : 140$).
You must become a member, if you are not, and take your studio time within three months after the end of the course. Contact us for more details.

Cancellation policy – classes
Payment
Class must be paid in full upon registration. Accepted methods of payment include Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, cheques or cash.
Cancelling a class prior to the starting date
No fees will be charged for cancelling a class, provided members can do so before midnight, on the day before the class is scheduled. Only cancellations via email will be accepted.
Cancelling a class on the scheduled starting date, or later
On the scheduled starting date of the class, L’imprimerie will debit these two amounts:
- the cost of all completed sessions, plus all sessions scheduled on that date;
- a penalty under the Consumer Protection Act . This penalty is equivalent to 10% of the cost of all the remaining uncompleted sessions for that class.
Payment must be received in full before the beginning of the class.
L’imprimerie reserves the right to cancel a class in the case of force majeure, or due to insufficient registration.
