Benefit auction 60 years, 60 artworks

As part of its 60th anniversary, L’imprimerie, L’imprimerie, centre d’artistes presents the benefit auction “60 years, 60 artworks” . This event brings together a selection of 60 works from its archives, reflecting six decades of creation in printed and photographic arts, from 1966 to 2026.

Drawn from a collection of over 4,000 works, this selection highlights the centre’s history, the diversity of artistic practices, and the evolution of techniques that have shaped its activities. Each work comes from a collection built over time through studio proofs donated by artists following their production.

The benefit auction unfolds in two phases throughout May 2026: an online auction, running from May 4 to 29 on the Zeffy platform, as well as a mid-auction event on May 14, featuring a presentation by the archivists and a special silent auction.

By taking part in this auction, you directly support the sustainability of the centre’s activities and the development of its future projects, while contributing to the recognition of its artistic legacy.

First time participating in an auction? Here’s a quick overview of how it works.

The benefit auction “60 years, 60 artworks” will take place online from May 4 to 29, 2026. This is a bidding auction: the highest bid placed at closing wins the artwork. Bids cannot be withdrawn or cancelled.

All sales are final. Works are sold as is and are not framed.

No prior registration is required. Once the auction opens, you will be able to browse the works and place bids in real time from a computer or mobile device.

If another participant outbids you, you will be notified by email and may adjust your bid. You may bid on multiple works.

Bidding process
Bidding starts at the indicated amount and increases in predefined increments based on the value of the artwork.

At the close of the auction, each work is awarded to the highest bidder. All bids are binding and cannot be cancelled. Payment can be made by credit card or Interac e-transfer.
