Artist talk with Joëlle Côté

L’imprimerie invites its members and community to a discussion with artist-in-residence Joëlle Côté on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 6 pm, on site!

The artist will present her artist’s book Turbulent waves/ Vagues turbulentes, produced on silkscreen as part of a custom project. This project refers to the recent discovery of gravitational waves resulting from the collision of two black holes.

The event is free and children are welcome accompanied by an adult.
In order to meet social distancing standards, a maximum of 25 people will be admitted. Registration is required and face covering is mandatory.

Originally from Beauce, Joëlle Côté lives and works in Montréal. In her practice, she is interested in the accumulation effect produced by repetition and explores its possibilities in installation works combining the arts of printing, drawing and painting. She holds a BA in Visual and Media Arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
