Cathy Alvarez – Customized residency
L’imprimerie welcomes Cathy Alvarez in residency. She continued her research on the photographic image in two projects about the notion of anonymity and the reconstruction of an erased identity. The first project is the conception of an artist’s book, and the second is a picture collection of archaeological objects that retrace the history of her grandfather’s resistance during Franco’s dictatorship in Spain. Cathy Alvarez’s artistic approach is based on the archive and the found image whose she reconstructs and reinterprets their history.
