Éric Bolduc’s love story

Donating to an artist-run center is to support an innovative model of social, sustainable and democratic economy, of self-management and self-determination, which was invented here!

I love L’imprimerie is an emotional propaganda campaign. With great tenderness and kindness, we solicit love letters from our faithful members. This initiative aims to cultivate the love of our community and raise donations to continue to provide professional quality services. Whether through the development of original artistic projects in residency or assisting artists through workshops and training, all the practices of print and photography are supported by the center.

In an article, Éric Bolduc shares his love story with L’imprimerie. In this time of social distancing, where it is easy to feel disconnected from your community, it warms our hearts to share an article about love. A member since our beginnings, Éric Bolduc has been very involved with the center, notably within the funding committee and as a communications consultant.

“For many years, I looked for a place to print high quality prints of my drawings. I wanted the copy to look like a real work on paper. With the completion of the Habaku project, I wanted to produce professional-level prints. My quest ended with the birth of L’imprimerie, the only artist-run center specialized in large-format digital printing in Montreal.”

Biography
Formerly editor of the webzine ratsdeville, I fill notebooks with drawings and writings, about energy and spirituality. I practice copying religious figures of Buddhism and Hinduism, with felt markers and watercolor, a process that is similar to meditation for me. L’imprimerie perfectly meets my needs to produce high quality prints of my works. Having been a member since day one, I participated in the center’s inaugural and funding committees.
